Local tip led to Newbridge baby's discovery

Gardai in Co Laois have found the baby girl who disappeared with her babysitter in Newbridge, Co Kildare, yesterday morning.

20-month-old Savannah McNally and her 19-year-old babysitter were located after a local lady contacted gardai in Portlaoise to say she had seen the pair near a shopping centre in the town this morning.

Gardai said Savannah and her babysitter, who are currently in Portlaoise station, are both well.

The babysitter will be questioned about the incident in due time.
