Turkish ambassador thanks Justice Dept

The Turkish ambassador has thanked the Minister for Justice for the Government's handling of the tragic case of the 13 illegal immigrants found in a container in Co Wexford.

It has been revealed that two Turkish families were among the contingent, each comprised of a mother and father and two children.

However, only the mother from one family and the father from another survived.

The remaining dead are thought to be from Albania, Romania and Algeria.
