A man on trial for the murder of a Galway pensioner has pleaded guilty to his manslaughter.

Thirty-seven-year-old Patrick O'Connor from Poulboy, Kilgainey, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, had pleaded not guilty to murdering 68-year-old Tommy Casey in his Oranmore home in January 1996.
