Man in court after Co Antrim road accident

A man has appeared in court in the North today, charged with the unlawful killing of three people, who died in a road accident in Co Antrim on Thursday.

A man has appeared in court in the North today, charged with the unlawful killing of three people, who died in a road accident in Co Antrim on Thursday.

The victims were part of a group of adults with learning disabilities who were travelling in a minibus near the village of Toomebridge when it was involved in a collision with a lorry.

Forty-year-old, Daniel Allen, an unemployed mechanic from Derry, has also been charged with taking a vehicle without the owners consent. He has been remanded in custody until Wednesday.
