Irish opposition to Sellafield nuclear reprocessing plant looks like intensifying tonight, after stark differences with the British Government persisted in Dublin today.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair heard at first hand of Ireland’s feelings over the plant, but said any fears about the proposed new mixed oxide (MOX) facility must be based on firm evidence, which has not yet been presented.
