Gardai question five in Dublin firearms haul

Five people are being quizzed by gardai about a firearms haul in Tallaght, in Dublin overnight.

Detectives raided the house in the Ellensborough estate, in the Kiltipper area of Tallaght, shortly before 9pm.

A number of shotguns, cartridges, telescopic sights and a range of ammunition were recovered.

Four men and a woman, aged between 19 and 28, who were in the house at the time, were arrested.

It is understood the planned search was conducted after the gardai received information from a source in the locality.
