Children sitting the second part of their 11-plus exam in the Holy Cross School in North Belfast will again be forced to walk the back road to their school today.

Talks between First and Deputy Ministers, David Trimble and Mark Durkan and loyalist protestors failed to make any breakthrough last night, although progress was reported.

There were discussions regarding demands for close circuit cameras and barricades between their estate and the neighbouring Catholic Ardoyne district.
