Trimble, Durkan to meet loyalist protesters
The North’s First and Deputy First Ministers, David Trimble and Mark Durkan will meet with loyalist residents from north Belfast tonight in an effort to resolve the 80-day-old protest outside a Catholic school in Ardoyne.
The loyalists want CCTV cameras on the road between nationalist Ardoyne and the Holy Cross primary school, as well as a permanent barricade and speed ramps.
The parents of the children attending the school have agreed to bring their children via the back entrance for the second paper of the 11-plus exam tomorrow.
