Greens ask Taoiseach to challenge funding for Sellafield

The Green Party has urged the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, to challenge the British Government's funding of BNFL's Sellafield nuclear plant.

Nuala Ahern, MEP, said the British Government's decision to write off £500m in capital investment is the same as state aid, which is banned under EU competition law.
