FG seeks probe into causes of road accidents

Fine Gael TD Denis Naughten has called for an official investigation to determine what percentage of Irish road accidents are caused by alcohol.

The Government keeps no record of the causes of road accidents at the moment and Mr Naughten believes the common assertion that 40% of road accidents are caused by alcohol may be an understatement.
