SIPTU Taxi drivers back on streets at midday
SIPTU taxi drivers will return to work at midday today after a twelve-hour work stoppage.
The strike action has been used to highlight the lack of compensation offered to drivers following last year’s deregulation.
SIPTU’s Gerry Brennan has said they want to see the Government set up a scheme whereby compensation can be made available to those who have lost houses and other investments as a result of the deregulation.
