A jury at the Central Criminal Court has convicted a 36-year-old man of manslaughter after finding him not guilty of murder earlier this afternoon.

George Redmond, from Ferrycarrig Park in Coolock, Dublin, admitted throwing a petrol bomb into the kitchen of a house in July 2000, but denied that he intended to kill anybody.
