Trimble fails to halt special UUP meeting

UUP leader, David Trimble, tonight failed to halt a special meeting of his Ulster Unionists ruling body.

The meeting, which was called by hard-liners demanding more IRA disarmament, took place at UUP headquarters in Belfast.
