Thousands attend funeral of Belfast pipe-bomber
Thousands of people turned out in north Belfast today for the funeral of 16-year-old Glen Branagh.
He died at the weekend when a pipe bomb he was about to throw at police exploded in his hand.
Mr Branagh would have been 17 tomorrow.
A number of leading loyalist paramilitaries joined the cortege and the teenager’s coffin was draped with a black-and-gold UDA flag.
Mr Branagh was a member of the Ulster Young Militants, the youth wing of the UDA.
