Beef trade with Egypt to resume within weeks

The Irish Farmers Association has announced that the beef trade between Ireland and Egypt will resume within weeks.

Egypt banned all beef imports from the European Union because of the BSE crisis but the Irish Government has been arguing that its safety controls are the most stringent in the EU.
