Co Down cigarette haul may be biggest ever in UK

Customs officials in the North have estimated that the seizure of smuggled cigarettes in Co Down yesterday could be the biggest ever in the UK.

Up to 40 million cigarettes were found hidden inside bails of timber on board a cargo vessel that was searched in Warrenpoint Harbour.
