Catholic parents and children today took an alternative route to school after loyalists called off their protest at Holy Cross primary in north Belfast.

Catholic parents and children today took an alternative route to school after loyalists called off their protest at Holy Cross primary in north Belfast.

Instead of walking up the fiercely disputed Ardoyne Road, pupils sitting their 11-plus exam went in by a back entrance.
