Mitchell calls for Unionists to support Trimble

US Senator George Mitchell says the Unionist Ministers who voted against David Trimble’s re-election as First Minister yesterday made a grave error.

Time is running out to prevent a further suspension of the institutions put in place by the Good Friday Agreement.

The Pro-Agreement parties will meet Northern Secretary, John Reid, today in a bid to avert the collapse of the Northern Assembly and Executive.
