The former Fine Gael minister, Michael Lowry has emphatically denied interfering in the awarding of the second mobile phone licence to Esat Digiphone.

Mr Lowry has also denied any knowledge or involvement in the $50,000 Telenor cheque which came from Esat Digiphone to Fine Gael.
