Arrested man has psychiatric tests

A man arrested in connection with the death of an eldery man on the northside of Dublin has undergone a psychiatric assesment, gardai have confirmed.

The man is being questioned in relation to the stabbing of the 71-year-old at a block of flats in Artane.

State pathologist, John Harbison is carrying out a post mortem at the city morgue.

The 42-year-old man is being held at Raheny Garda station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
