Man to appear before court in connection with murder

A man is due to appear before a special sitting of the Ennis District Court at 5.30pm this evening in relation to the murder of a 19-year-old woman in the Co Clare town last week.

The 30-year-old man was arrested at Shannon Airport last night and has spent the entire day being questioned by detectives at Ennis Garda Station.
