McAleese: more must be done to rid AIDS from Africa

The Irish President, Mary McAleese, says that the developed world must do more to rid Africa of the scourge of AIDS in Africa.

The Irish President, Mary McAleese, says that the developed world must do more to rid Africa of the scourge of AIDS in Africa.

The President was speaking during her diplomatic trip that spans Kenya and Uganda.

Speaking in northern Kenya earlier this afternoon at a medical mission that is run by Irish nuns where it is estimated that close to half the local population suffer from the virus.
