A Co Louth man wanted by Spanish authorities in connection with the death of his wife has been remanded in custody for a week.

A Co Louth man wanted by Spanish authorities in connection with the death of his wife has been remanded in custody for a week.

David McArdle, 32, from Haggardstown in Dundalk, appeared before Cloverhill District Court this morning to face extradition proceedings in connection with the alleged murder in Marabella two years ago.

His wife, Kelly Anne, died after falling from a fourth floor apartment.
