FG seeks three-month delay of abortion debate

Fine Gael is seeking to defer the debate on the proposed new abortion legislation for three months so it can quiz the Government over its motivation behind the draft law.

Fine Gael has asked why the Government wants the new legislation enshrined in the Constitution, a move that would prevent it from being amended by the Oireachtas in the future.
