Seven gardai awarded for bravery

Seven gardai have been awarded Scott medals for bravery in the line of duty at a ceremony in Templemore today.

Minister for Justice, John O'Donoghue and Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne presented the awards to Detective Inspector John Mulligan, Detective Sergeant John Gantly, Detectives Fearghal Pattwell, Dominick Reilly and Brendan O’Donovan, Garda James Hennessy and Garda Gerard McGrath.
