UUP ministers to announce resignation today

Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble is expected to hand in a letter of resignation by his party’s three Northern Assembly ministers this morning.

The resignation will take place from next weekend and preventing the collapse of the power-sharing executive could now be very difficult.
