Body found near Donore, Co Meath

Gardai in Co Meath have discovered a badly decomposed body near the village of Donore.

The remains were found during a search for missing 28-year-old German tourist Bettina Poeschel, who disappeared on September 25 while on her way from Drogheda to Newgrange.

The body was found at 12.10pm in a deep ravine hidden by undergrowth 20 yards from the Drogheda-Donore road.

The state pathologist will carry out a post mortem later today.
