Suspect device found in village
The security forces in Northern Ireland tonight were examining a suspect device found in a Co Tyrone village.
Police said the explosive device was found in property on the Glenaness Road in Sixmilecross.
It is understood the alarm was raised at about 8pm and a man was arrested.
The device is believed to be a mortar type. The RUC said the area was cordoned off as army bomb disposal experts examined the device.
It was not envisaged that the cordon would be lifted until tomorrow.
