Peace protests to take place nationwide

Anti-war demonstrations are taking place throughout the country today as part of an international protest against the air strikes against Afghanistan.

The Green Party is to hold a peace rally at Shannon Airport in protest against the government’s decision to allow the US fighter jets to refuel at the airport and to use Irish airspace.
