Northern Ireland's Alliance Party has elected David Ford as its new leader.

Northern Ireland's Alliance Party has elected David Ford as its new leader.

The South Antrim Assembly member has defeated deputy leader Eileen Bell by 86 votes to 45.

Mr Ford succeeds Sean Neeson as leader of the cross-community party.
