One man dies in road accident in south-east

There has been a serious road accident on the Carlow-Wexford border.

It has now been confirmed that a man has died in this morning's road accident on the Carlow-Wexford border.

It is understood that two lorries collided head-on in an area known as Boggin Hill outside the village of Ballon in Co Carlow.

Fire services are using cutting equipment to free the injured, who are reported to be in a serious condition.
