Ardoyne protest may be halted

There is speculation tonight that the loyalist protest outside the Holy Cross girls’ primary school in Ardoyne, north Belfast, could be called off by next Monday.

Political representatives from the nationalist and unionist communities have been holding talks in a bid to end the dispute and a source close to the effort has said the protest could be halted temporarily to allow for talks among the residents.
