Cowen to outline Irish anti-terrorism approach
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, will hold a series of talks with several top US politicians in Washington today.
Ireland is due to assume the chairmanship of the UN Security Council next Monday and could play a vital part in the next month.
Mr Cowen is due to hold talks with various politicians, including Senator Ted Kennedy and Northern Ireland Special Envoy, Richard Haas.
He is also to meet with the US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, where he is expected to offer the US the unlimited use of Irish airspace and airports in the international war on terrorism.
