Drugs operations net E and cocaine hauls

Five people are in custody today after three separate drugs surveillance operations in north Dublin.

Drugs with a street value of £400,000 were seized at a house in the Royal Oak Estate in Santry. Two men were arrested after detectives discovered 30,000 ecstasy tablets.

The Santry Drugs Unit also seized £120,000 worth of cocaine and ecstasy with a street value of £20,000 in a house in Artane. A man and a woman were arrested in connection with that seizure.

In the third raid, 5,000 ecstasy tablets were seized at a house in the Coolock area. A man was detained in that case and is being questioned at Coolock garda station.

The other four are being detained at Santry.
