Rescuers find survivors in WTC rubble

24 hours after yesterday’s massive attack on New York, rescuers report that survivors being pulled out of the rubble of the World Trade Centre.

Figures are unconfirmed, but it is believed that nine people have been rescued safely - two police officers, five fire fighters and two civilians. They are reported to have relatively minor injuries.
