US adviser to meet Ahern
Richard Haas, the special adviser to President Bush, is to meet the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern this afternoon.
Mr Haas has laready held talks with Junior Foreign Affairs Minister Liz O’Donnell in a fact-finding mission on troubles in the North.
Later, Haas is to travel to Belfast for talks with the north’s political parties.
Today’s discussions will focus on the ailing peace process, the on-going protests in the Ardoyne and the arrest of three alleged IRA members in Colombia.
