A Latvian man in his 30s is expected to appear before Dublin District Court today in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Romanian immigrant Adrian Bestea in July.

Latvian due in court in connection with 'suitcase' murder

A Latvian man in his 30s is expected to appear before Dublin District Court today in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Romanian immigrant Adrian Bestea in July.

The man was arrested on Saturday morning and subsequently charged with assault.

He is the second person facing charges in connection with the killing.

Last week, a 28-year-old Ukrainian, Igor Derjhak, was also charged with assaulting Mr Bestea 12 days before his body was discovered inside a suitcase in the Royal Canal near Croke Park in Dublin.
