Former Assistant Dublin City and County Manager George Redmond was back in court today in connection with corruption charges during his time at the council in the 1980s.
The charges relate to the sale of land in Palmerstown in Dublin by the Council to a garage owner, Mr Brendan Fassinidge.
It is alleged that Mr Redmond accepted a cash bribe in relation to the sale.
Two other charges relate to the compulsory purchase of land in Dublin in the mid 1980s, for which Mr Redmond is alleged to have received £10,000.
He has been further remanded on bail.
