A prominent Donegal businessman has claimed that parts of his body have been burned by his mobile phone.

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, said he has burns on his chest, hand and ears because of prolonged exposure to his phone.

A local doctor who examined the man said he is also convinced that the phone is responsible for the injuries.

The Irish Cellular Industry Association has responded by saying that all the equipment sold by companies it represents meets strict safety guidelines laid down by the World Health Organisation.
