Both the SDLP and Sinn Fein have urged the British Government to declare that the UDA is no longer on ceasefire.

The loyalist paramilitary organisation, using the cover-name the Red Hand Defenders, planted a car-bomb in Ballycastle, Co Antrim yesterday and claimed responsibility for two pipe-bombs in the same town today.

The SDLP and Sinn Fein said Britain should now declare that the UDA will have to face the consequences of their actions and the wrath of the security forces.
