Unionists claim Ballycastle 'bomb' could have been devastating
Hardline unionist Assembly member Ian Paisley Junior claimed the planting of the bomb in Ballycastle yesterday could have made the Omagh bomb ‘‘look like a small incident in the Troubles’’.
However, the Democratic Unionist MLA warned against casting doubt on one paramilitary group’s ceasefire when there were question marks about both the loyalist and republican ceasefires.
‘‘We shouldn’t be in the position of saying there are good terrorist groups and there are bad terrorist groups,’’ Mr Paisley argued.
‘‘All terrorism should understand that the Government is going to take a firm and hard line against every single one of them.’’
