Gardai arrest man over fatal shooting in Offaly

Gardai have arrested a man in connection with the shooting dead of 20-year-old Michael Rosney in Co Offaly earlier this week.

Mr Rosney died from two shotgun wounds sustained when he refused to give his name at a house party in Belmont on Thursday night.

His friends witnessed the killing.

The arrested man is being held at Dundalk Garda station.
