300 jobs under threat in Monaghan

300 workers at Monaghan Poultry are hoping a meeting today between unions and management will safeguard their jobs.

The company has had its production licence suspended for the second time in four days, leaving employees uncertain of the future.

SIPTU branch secretary, Jim Mullery, said they would be seeking a meeting with senior company management today.
