The Irish Family Planning Association has described the latest figures on Irish women travelling to the UK for abortions as an indication of the Government's failure to face reality.

The Irish Family Planning Association has described the latest figures on Irish women travelling to the UK for abortions as an indication of the Government's failure to face reality.

Figures just released in Britain show that at least 7,000 women from this country will make the trip by the end of this year.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
