New Aer Lingus heads 'within weeks'
The Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O'Rourke, has announced that she intends to appoint a new chairman, chief executive and vice chairman for Aer Lingus within weeks.
Minister O'Rourke has revealed that the appointments will be made following a period of respect for the late chairman Bernie Cahill, who drowned near his Co Cork home last week.
She said Mr Cahill had sent her a shortlist of two names to fill the CEO seat just before his death. The position has been vacant since the resignation of former holder, Michael Foley, amidst sexual harassment allegations.
