The Irish Farmers Association has called on the Minister for Agriculture to re-open closed markets for beef producers.

The call comes following the collapse in beef prices by as much as £75 per head of livestock in past four weeks.

The IFA said Minister Joe Walsh has failed to deliver on a price stability deal negotiated in Brussels last year.
