The funeral takes place today of Aer Lingus chairman Bernie Cahill.

The 71-year-old died on Friday evening.

It’s believed he slipped while securing his boat to a jetty near his Co Cork home and drowned.

Funeral mass takes place at 11am this morning at St Mary’s Church in Schull, Co Cork.

Mr Cahill will be buried in a private ceremony on Bere Island.
