Post mortem on body of Bernie Cahill due today
A post mortem is due to be carried out on the body of Aer Lingus Chairman Bernie Cahill, who died in a drowning accident in Cork.
The 71-year-old died last night after he slipped and fell while securing his boat that was moored at Schull, close to his west Cork home.
His body was taken to the morgue at Cork University Hospital.
The post mortem examination will take place later this evening.
Earlier, the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern led tributes to Mr Cahill, saying he was a hugely talented man who gave much of his life to public service.
