Quintuplet baby girl in stable condition

The weakest of five babies born to a Co Wexford couple n Thursday is said to be in a more stable condition today.

Veronica Cassidy delivered Ireland’s only quins at the Rotunda hospital two days ago.

The tiny babies, three boys and two girls, weighed between 600 and 780 grams at birth.

A spokesperson for the Rotunda hospital says the weakest child, Amy Dorothy, is getting stronger.

Mrs Cassidy and her four other children are said to be doing well.
