Just 7% of Irish people fear developing heart disease, despite the fact that it is the biggest killer in Ireland.

Heart disease kills 13,000 Irish people each year and Ireland has the highest death rate from heart disease in the European Union.

A survey carried out by Irishhealth.com found that 51% of Irish people fear getting cancer more than any other illness, even though cancer treatment has become more successful in recent years.
